Video editing tools
Descript
This is an AMAZING tool that simplifies everything to do with video editing. Did you speak a word that you want to delete? EASY – just delete the text in the transcript and you’re done!
ClipChamp
If Descript is out of your price range, Microsoft ClipChamp is a simple (and free!)intuitive video editor that I would use before I fell in love with Descript!
Domain registration and hosting
Crazy Domains
Crazy Domains is great for Aussies because it offers the .com.au URL, although I would only recommend you use this URL type if you have a bricks and mortar business, otherwise just use a .com domain, as it’s considered “International”!
Be careful with this lot though – they try to upsell you to EVERYTHING! Do not buy any of it – just purchase the domain!!
Hostgator
I have been using Hostgator since.. well.. forever! Their Baby Plan starts off at a tiny $3.99 a month before renewing at $16.49 per month after that. With this plan you can host 20 (yep, 20!) websites!
NameSilo
What I used to love about NameSilo for domain hosting is that it was cheaper than the rest (that I know of). It also doesn’t jack up the price at the time of renewal, but it seems their pricing has gone up considerably.
Email automation, course platform and calendar
Both of these are available through AppSumo. AppSumo is an repository of various software platforms that offer Beta access for a one-time fee (unless you upgrade). This provides you with a really cheap way to test out the software (I think most if not all have a 60 day trial period), and you can ask for your money back if it doesn’t suit.

SendFox
I started off on the free version of this, but I wanted the full automation features so that I could create nurture sequences. At only $49 I think it was at the time, it was totally worth it – and no subscriptions!

Online Course Host
I was wanting a course platform that could host all of my content because I didn’t want to slow my own website down. Online Course Host seemed to be the best value, and I actually quite like it! I now use another platform but this is perfect for starting out!

TidyCal
TidyCal is the perfect alternative to Calendly – and without the monthly fees!
This is an automated calendar booking system that also processes payments through Stripe or PayPal. It integrates with your cloud-based calendar as well, so you don’t get double-booked!
